My Disney Interview!
So it came about that the Disney Store was making its way back to the city I live in and without hesitation I applied! At risk of sounding cliche, working at Disney (in any form) has always been a dream of mine and if it won’t be in the studios, I might as well be employed by the Mouse through retail.
I found it was incredibly hard to find any sort of information about a Disney interview anywhere, so I thought I might as well post in case it helps anyone else with their upcoming interview.
When I was called for the interview, my contact had told me that it would be an entertainment based group interview, as the job had transitioned from a retail service position to more of an interactive experience position. This both excited and frightened me. This interview was not going to be one I could decide to be timid at. I was preparing to give my all.
And for that week prior to the interview, I spent every spare moment I had researching and learning about everything there was to know about working at the Disney Store. My contact had referenced Disney Parks Cast Members as a similar expectation on how being a Disney Store Cast Members was to be like. Luckily, I’ve had several chances to go to the parks and spent plenty of time observing and admiring the staff there.
With my notebook stuffed with my findings and my Mickey Mouse watch shined up, I was ready for that interview.
To the anon who asked how long I’ve been with my significant other, the answer is just over three years.
